For Physicians

Linn County Project Access is designed to provide a coordinated system for helping low-income, uninsured Linn County, Iowa residents access the health care they need in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible.
The project also aids physicians who volunteer time and services to people who do not have access to quality health care because of financial barriers. By participating in Project Access, physicians demonstrate their commitment to the ideals of the medical profession by donating care through this charity care network either in their office or through a local safety net provider.
Many physicians already provide donated services. Project Access serves to increase the number physicians involved in charity care, which more equitably distributes service provision and increase the effectiveness of safety net services. In addition, Project Access will track the free care that is provided and report this to the community. Healthy Linn Care Network manages Linn County Project Access.
